Aloha My Friends!

It is truly incredible how inner peace can increase when we stop fighting everyone and everything. When staying connected to the core of our inner being, it is possible to remain courageous and face our shadows, look them in the eyes and smile as we see them transmute and transform. This magical moon cycle of November provides the perfect support to reveal and work with these shadows to shift them into sunlit agreements which better serve, align and help us powerfully intend who we really are and how we want to live and be.
Upon waking this morning, I got the message from my inner voice that I needed to do yoga. NOW. Soon after, the pool man unexpectedly showed up to state that the resurfacing project was beginning now and he was draining the pool. I’d be able to use the pool again in about 6-8 weeks. I could feel my smoldering “victim” “not fair” shadow rising. (The main reason I rented the home was to use the pool.)

Embracing that knowledge is power, and awareness is key, I was able to recognize the incredibly uncomfortable feeling overtaking me, activate witness vision, greet it with open light, and have a different experience. Taking a few deep breaths, I paused and calmed myself, and was able to see and feel another angle to the situation. It seems that NOW is the time to do yoga, not swim.

Calmer is a wonderful roll-on stress relief blend from the “Kids Line” which supports slowing down, in order to restore inner harmony.

“On its deepest level, Calmer invites individuals to trust in the divine will trying to manifest in their lives. It helps with feeling connected to and supported by divine beings of light. Calmer speaks softly its comforting, core message: that everything is going to be OK.” (Essential Emotions, 8th Edition) The oils of lavender, ylang ylang, buddha wood and Roman chamomile are safe to use with our pets too.

Our Kichi cat was very interested when I offered her Calmer. First, she approved the capped roll-on from a distance. Then as I brought it closer she gave it a face rub. This is the initial step of introducing oils to pets; give them space since their olfactory senses are so superior to ours.
I applied a bit to my fingertips, rubbed them together and let her sniff. Not directly wanting me to apply it to her ears, she did let me pet her spine with it.

As she relaxed into receiving, I lightly rubbed the tip of her ears with my fingers. As she fell more in love with the effects of the aroma, she couldn’t help but lick my fingers. I did all this with the one original application of a few passes of the roll-on to my finger.

Another essential oil blend that leads the way to transformation with a healing belief for rebirth is Hope. This roll-on mixture of bergamot, ylang ylang, frankincense and vanilla is a very special aroma that activates the courage for us to draw upon our inner light—something no one and nothing can take away from us.
As one of the Healing Hands Foundation products,100 percent of our Hope purchase is donated to select organizations dedicated to stop, rehabilitate and place children who have been or are in danger of being trafficked. This season, help bridge your own healing (this shadow work can be intense!) and the healing of countless others with Hope.
Last month I got the intuitive hit to work with a stone I hadn’t previously spent any time with: serpentine. I received the clear message to hold it in my hand while I slept. Serpentine can assist in clearing chakras (like the kundalini serpent), increasing balanced energy flow and strengthening one's connection with the earth, faerie and animal kingdoms.

Another of its many benefits is its ability to remove negative thought patterns associated with past traumas and restore/replenish our cells. Since I was working on those exact things, I was very open to spending the night with serpentine to see what would happen. What I awoke with was something I wasn’t expecting at all: the most absolutely wild vivid dreams! I received a visit from my mom on Dia de los Muertos, an acquaintance called me within a few days of my dreaming about her, old friends have appeared and I’ve done some pretty interesting bizarre journeying. I can’t guarantee that you’ll have the dreamtime of your life, but if you’d like to try, I’m happy to add a serpentine to your collection to see what happens.

Here are a few delicious savory and sweet essential oil recipes for you to try this season of Thanksgiving.

Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Filling
5 cups apple, sliced
¼ cup sugar
1 pinch nutmeg
½ teaspoon cinnamon
6 drops Lemon oil

¼ cup flour

Crust
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 ⅓ cup butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon white vinegar
6–7 tablespoons of cold water

Instructions:

1. Mix all pie filling ingredients together. Cook on medium heat until it comes to a boil. Stir constantly so that sugars don't burn. Set aside.
2. For pie crust, place flour, salt, and butter in a medium bowl. Crumb together until little beads form.
3. Place the egg, vinegar, and cold water in a separate bowl. Mix thoroughly.
4. Slowly pour liquid into the bowl with your dry ingredients, folding it in as you pour until flour mixture is moistened.
5. Don't overmix. Divide into four balls.
6. Roll out two balls to make the bottom crust and place in two nine-inch pie shells.
7. Distribute pie filling between two pie crusts.
8. Slice one tablespoon of butter and distribute evenly across the top of pie filling.
9. Roll out top crust and place on top of filling.
10. Pinch bottom and top crust together between thumb and index finger.
11. Bake on 350° F for one hour, or until golden brown.

Enjoy!

Love,
