Aloha My Friends!
We are moments away from 2021’s first full moon. Full moons typically enhance the opportunity to let go of what we do not want to carry forward. Perhaps your psyche has been presenting feelings, rules, personalities, limitations, obsessions or whatever else that needs to be recognized, acknowledged and released to make room for a newer version of you to experience 2021. By making space in our virtual and literal closets, it’s easier for spirit and divine guidance to dress us becomingly to be a better match for our heart’s desires. It takes courage and trust to let go but it is absolutely worth it to take the dare. We can receive so many more gifts with our hands open and empty rather than closed and clenched.

Some oils that support instilling trust are Adaptiv, Align, Arborvitae, Breathe, Cypress, Geranium, Immortelle, Jasmine, Marjoram, Manuka, Rose, Rosemary and Turmeric.

I’m going to focus on Rose and Manuka because of something that happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I had either unknowingly scratched myself or perhaps something had bitten me very close to my left eye. By the end of the day, this small scratch had increased in sensitivity, was inflamed and looking like a little lesion. Fear began to creep in because I have had a couple of “blemishes” like this show up out of nowhere in recent years and it didn’t go well. After trying a few different essential oils to no avail, I remembered Rose. Rose is the magnificent Queen of Oils. With over 300 known chemical compounds present in rose essential oil, she is a power punch of divine love. It takes 10,000 freshly picked rose blossoms to make 5 ml of pure oil. In addition to the vibration of love that rose is known for, it is also excellent for the skin and has a multitude of therapeutic values, as mentioned in this article from the National Institute of Health.

I applied Rose Touch to the wound and it immediately felt soothed. Then I remembered Manuka. Manuka is from the same botanical family as Tea Tree, therefore a great wound healer and supportive to the skin. I added a drop of Manuka essential oil (secret stash as it’s usually only available in Australia) and I knew I had found the right combination. Over the next 10 days, I continued to adjust as needed and in the end relied on a drop of Frankincense with Rose Touch and a dab of Tea Tree Touch as my AM/PM skin regimen with special focus on the “spot.” After two weeks it is 98 percent healed. I also used the On Guard + soft gels, XEOmega, and alternated Turmeric duo capsules, Yarrow Pom capsules and DDR Prime soft gels to support my body’s natural healing abilities. Thankfully I will not need to use the antibiotic cream which came in the mail after waiting over a week for a reply from the doctors office. Grateful again (and again and again) for having an apothecary in my home, especially in these times when our medical professionals are so overwhelmed. Grateful for past lectures that taught me valuable tips and protocols through random stories. Thank you mother nature.

Something fun I learned in December was to make moon water. All you need is a clean container and nice water. I used a glass water bottle, but a mason jar or any other (preferably glass) container will do. I covered the top of my bottle with a little plastic wrap to keep it clean while allowing more moonlight in, kept an intention in my heart and mind as I filled the bottle and gathered rose petals and rose quartz (I was thinking about loving relationships) and a couple other crystals that wanted to join the party. Next, while holding it to my heart and then up to the sky, I said my prayer/intention, and felt the energy run through me. Even if it isn’t a clear night, the moon energy will still penetrate through. Set your container down and arrange your enhancement herbs and other items around it. If the weather is harsh, your container can be placed by a window where the moon shines through.

Simply magical! In the morning you have moon water, voila! There are many articles on making moon water and specific combinations of enhancements. Moon water is lovely to add to the bath, drink, sprinkle around or however you are inspired to enjoy.

Salad In A Jar
Ingredients:
1 Quart-sized jar
1 tablespoon water
1 toothpick swirl Basil
1 Pinch of salt
4 drops Lemon or Lime
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salad veggies of choice
Instructions:
Combine water and olive oil in a quart jar. Swirl in Basil and add Lemon or Lime essential oil. Add pinch of salt. Fill jar with vegetables, adding the firmest first and placing salad greens at the top. Refrigerate; salad lasts several days kept cold. Before serving, turn jar upside down and shake to distribute dressing. When you’re ready to reach for this healthy meal, empty jar contents into a large bowl or plate and serve. To beef it up, add avocado, croutons, or other toppings, including your favorite proteins.
